A member representing the Baraza Dasa constituency in the Bauchi State House of Assembly, Musa Mante has been killed by suspected gunmen.  On Thursday night, the lawmaker was reportedly killed at his residence in Dass, Bauchi State. The Bauchi State Police Command confirmed the incident on Friday morning.  Ahmed Mohammed Wakili, the command's Public Relations Officer DSP said:"Two of his wives and, son were kidnapped by the gunmen." Samuel Ortom, Benue State Governor sworn in the New commissioner for Health and Human Services in the state, Dr Emmanuel Ikwulono. Dr Emmanuel Ikwulono replaced Dr Sunday Ongbabo who resigned his appointment as the commissioner for Health last week. A statement by the State Government on Wednesday stated that Dr Ikwulono's appointment was based on merit and competence.  The State Governor charged health practitioners in the state to give attention to other health challenges in the state aside the COVID-19, such as diabetes, hepatitis, malaria, typhoid among others. Ortom called all stakeholders to join hands with the commissioner for ehhanced service delivery in the health sector.
