Hello everyone, welcome back to my blog. I'm back with the latest gist of what're happening and with that, let's get started. 

Founder of Pearl Academy Olamide Omajuwa Alli, Stabbed to Death by her fiancé  in Lagos.

The mother of two boys ages 7 and 3 was brutally murdered in her fiancé house by her fiancé identified as Chris Ndukwe before committing suicide on Sunday June 21, 2020 at his home in Victory Point Estate, Ilasan, Lagos, Nigeria.  Chris, aged 39 and Olamide aged 25 have been in an on and off relationship for seven years and were said to have fixed their wedding for August 2020. The cause of her death is not known but its been said that it has to do with the paternity of the second child. On that fateful Sunday, it was said that he tied her up, used a tape to cover her mouth, pulled her braids with a plier, stabbing her multiple times on the head and eyes before she died. Olamide who resides in Ogba, as said to have visited him along with her sister on Saturday and was seen jogging together before the incident. Her fiancé, Chris, after murdering her, committed suicide by drinking a pesticide.

Innocent Ujah Idibia Appointed as Regional Goodwill Ambassador of UNHCR. 

Nigerian music artist, Innocent Ujah Idibia also known as 2Baba has just been appointed as a Goodwill Ambassador by UNHCR. This is because he has been a high-level supporter UNHCR LuQuLuQu campaign for three years. UNHCR LuQuLuQu campaign is a Pan-African of people from all works of life investing in a better future for forcibly displaced people across the continent. In this role, he has dedicated his time to uplift the narratives of refugees and internally displaced persons (IDP) in Africa. In 2017, he visited IDP camps in North-east Nigeria's Borno state. The announcement was made on the website of UN refugee Agency.

Yemi Alade to Perform at All-Star Global COVID-19 Response Concert.

Nigeria Afropop singer and songwriter, Yemi Alade will join Shakira, Justin Bieber and many other top-notch international music that to perform at the 'Global Goal: Unite for our Future - The Concert'.

The concert which is expected to hold Saturday 27, is organized by the Global Citizen and the European Commission to ensure unity in the fight against COVID-19. The show will be hosted by popular actor and WWE Wrestler Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson. Hosted by Dwayne Johnson, the concert will feature performances by Chloe X Halle, Christine and the Queens, Coldplay, JBalvin, Jennifer Hudson, Justin Bieber, Quavo, Miley Cyrus, Shakira, Usher and Yemi Alade. "Chris Rock, Hugh Jackman, Kerry Washington, Charlize Theron, Forest Whitaker, David Beckham, Salma Hayek Pinault, Billy Porter, Diane Kruyer, Antonio Porowski, Ken Jeong, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, Olivia Colman are expected to make appearances at the show.

Djokovic Tests Positive to Coronavirus. 

Serbian tennis player, Novak Djokovic said on Tuesday that he has tested positive for Coronavirus, joining a slew of other infected players who took part in an exhibition tennis tournament in the Balkan. 

"Novak Djokovic tested positive for a virus COVID-19" read a statement from the staff. "He is not showing any symptoms," it added.
