FG Hands Over National Theatre To CBN, Bankers Committee.

The renovation, modernization upgrade and development of the National Theatre, Lagos has been handed over to the Central Bank of Nigeria(CBN) and Bankers Committee by the Nigerian government. Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammad handed over the renovation of the building on Sunday in an event that had the CBN Governor, Godwin Emefiele and Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu in attendance. Sanwo-Olu said the restoration of the National Theatre will change the activities and perception of Lagos State.

"It is a new dawn for the tourism and creative economy in Lagos State as today, The National Theatre was handed over to @cenbank and the Bankers Committee to turnaround this national heritage through renovation, a modernization upgrade and development. I am quite excited that this ediface will see a makeover that will transform the tourism and entertainment sector of our economy. It is significant to note that this turnaround will create jobs and boost the creative enterprise of our youths in Lagos and across Nigeria."

247 Stranded Nigerians Return From Malaysia, Thailand. 

A total of 247 stranded Nigerians have arrived from Malaysia and Thailand, Nigerians in Diaspora Commission(NIDCOM) said via a tweet on Sunday morning that the Nigerians came on board an Air Peace Chartered Flight at exactly 11:00pm on Saturday. Some passengers landed at the Nnamdi Azikwe International Airport, Abuja, while others landed at the Murtala Mohammed International Airport, Lagos. NIDCOM said that all the returned Nigerians tested negative for COVID-19 and have all been mandated to go on self-isolation.

Ini Edo Re-Appointed As Special Assistant On Tourism by Akwa Ibom Governor.

Udom Emmanuel, Akwa Ibom State Governor has re-appointed Nollywood actress, Ini Edo as the special assistant on Culture and Tourism. She made this, known via her Instagram page on Sunday. 

Ini Edo was appointed in 2016, advised her followers to keep praying and investing in themselves, so as to be prepared for opportunities ahead. 

"Grateful to my boss, His Excellency, Governor Udom Emmanuel for the reappointment to serve in the tourism sector of our state. I look forward to great accomplishments in this new era," she wrote.

"I am overwhelmed by the show of love and appreciation from all of you. As you celebrate with me, I pray that you will be celebrated in every area of your life. Indeed, it is about time that we the youths of this country gets included in the running of our dear country, especially as women. Despite all the odds against us. We won't give up the good fight. Keep dreaming, keep praying, invest in yourself, so when an opportunity shows up, you will should be prepared. To my amazing team, the @medlin boss and all the good people of my state, Thank you.
